Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

A nonprofit organization

Vizcaya is a breathtaking Gilded Age estate on Biscayne Bay and a National Historic Landmark and is well-known in the Miami community and beyond for its beauty and historical relevance. Vizcaya is an integral part of the tapestry that makes South Florida a unique and extraordinary place to live and visit, and it plays an important role in our local economy and cultural landscape.

Whether you're a garden lover, or a history buff, or conservationist, you will find something to love and explore at Vizcaya. The estate includes 34 decorated rooms in the Main House, 11 acres of Formal Gardens, 11 historic buildings in the Vizcaya Village, and is surrounded by ten acres of formal gardens, a mangrove shoreline and rockland hammock.

Along with Vizcaya staff, Volunteer Guides and Greeters welcome visitors to engage with us as we connect with the past, explore the present, and shape the future.

Mission

Throughout 2022, Vizcaya is celebrating the Centennial of the Gardens and the many elements that make it a magical place. The 10-acre European-inspired gardens are among the most authentic and elaborate in the United States and the projects that will allow the historic landscape to shine in its full glory are many. Our Centennial projects include the restoration of the Casino Loggia Murals and the Marine Garden gate, as well as the return of the famous Peacock Columns!

It is through support from individuals like you, that we are able to maintain the gardens and restore it for the enjoyment for all. We invite you to be inspired by Vizcaya's natural beauty, connect with Miami's past and discover this unique cultural gem.

Your support, no matter the size will have a big impact. THANK YOU!
