Who We Are:

WestCare The Village South is a behavioral health and human services non-profit organization committed to delivering high-quality and cost-effective services that empower people to transform their lives.  

What We Do:

As of July 1st, our agency, proudly serving Miami-Dade County since 1973, has expanded its impact through the launch of Full Case Management Services for children and families involved in the local Child Welfare system.

Full Case Management Services for Families in the Child Welfare System

• Serving 400+ children and families in Miami-Dade County

• Provides:

  • Prevention-focused support to strengthen families before crises occur

  • Hands-on case management to guide families through the child welfare process

  • Trauma-informed care designed to foster safe, stable, and nurturing environments where children can grow and thrive

Mobile Response Team (MRT)

• Offers 24/7 behavioral health crisis intervention throughout Miami-Dade County

• Anyone experiencing a behavioral health crisis can call 1-800-HELP-YOU to connect directly with a master’s-level clinician

• If in-person support is needed:

  • A team of a clinician and a peer specialist will arrive within 60 minutes

  • Provides on-site assessment, emotional support, mental health education, and linkage to community resources

• 2024 Statistics

  • 2,988 calls responded to

  • Diverted nearly 80% of crisis calls from hospitalization to community resources

Additionally, we provide numerous other services & programs for residents in South Florida, including but not limited: 

• Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) 
• In-home & On-site outpatient therapy 
• Healthy Start Program: Providing guidance and assistance to pregnant and post-partum mothers 
• Medical & Psychiatric Services 
• Vocational & Peer Services 
• HIV/HCV/STD Testing 
• Prevention Education In-School Assessments
