Tropic Bound organizes a multi-day, biennial cultural gathering dedicated to book arts, held in Miami, Florida with international participation that includes an educational symposium, a series of artists' book-related events and a multi-day fair with exhibitors of book arts including artists, universities, libraries, presses, printers, publishers, dealers, and other creators.

Tropic Bound Programs:

Shuttle Tours share a glimpse into the literary art hot spots of Miami, as we tour the Little Haiti / Little River and Coral Gables / University of Miami area visiting with special collections, galleries, printmaking studios and independent book stores.

The Symposium invites experts, academics, artists, collectors, publishers and community organizers to take part in the global discussion revolving book arts, with a keynote speaker and a panel discussion diving into current trends, issues and concerns affecting the broader book art community.

Artist / Publisher Talks bring together a rotating selection of artists and publishers to present nuanced topics, discussions and presentations.

Tropic Bound's Main Fair showcases the work of over 80 exhibitors from around the world, focusing on hand-made artists' books, intricate bindings, and experimental narratives, materials and layouts. The newly launched Addendum section highlights the important work being created by independent publishers, featuring magazine and art publishers who help widen and contextualize the conversation about books and art. This section will bring together South Florida and international print-based exhibitors whose work includes art, poetry, photography, popular culture, and more.
