The criminal justice system in the United States is built on a foundation of individualism, placing the burden of responsibility squarely on individuals without addressing the systemic structures that lead to their involvement with the law. Transition to Justice seeks to shift this paradigm by tackling the root causes of interpersonal harm and redefining public safety through innovation and compassion by:

1. Fixing the Root Causes: Traditional justice systems only treat the symptoms of crime. Your support helps us address systemic issues like poverty and lack of mental healthcare, preventing crime before it starts.

2. Empowering Change: We offer victims and defendants alternatives to traditional punishment, focusing on mediation and support that truly heal. Your donation enables resources like job training and counseling that foster real rehabilitation.

3. Reimagining Safety: Our approach prioritizes community well-being over incarceration, aligning with what victims truly want—solutions that break the cycle of crime. Your support helps us build safer, stronger communities.

4. Holistic Support: We integrate legal and community strategies to provide comprehensive support. Your contribution helps expand these efforts, creating a justice system that is both fair and effective.

5. Driving Cultural Reform: By tackling societal issues like homelessness and inequality, we aim for long-term change in the justice system. Your donation fuels our mission to create a more just and compassionate society.

Be part of a transformative solution. Your support drives meaningful change and builds a better future for all.

Mission

Our mission is to transform misconceptions around public safety by truly listening to the wishes of victims of crime—since they know best what justice means to them. Through legal representation, mediation, and community support, we aim to address the notoriously low satisfaction rates with the criminal justice system by providing options that empower victims , defendants, and communities to confront the actual root causes of harm. Rather than seeking punitive measures that our clients do not desire and which often lead to further pain for all involved, we aim to facilitate victims’ unique visions for justice and healing, giving communities the tools they need to create meaningful and lasting change.
