reflecting on how our beautiful city of Miami
has grown and flourished in recent years.
And theatre has not lagged. New
companies with new projects have been launched
because our artistic community has tripled
and we have attracted new audiences who are
hungry for plays that inspire, impress, entertain
and help discover and reflect. Teatro Avante and the award-winning International Hispanic Theatre Festival (IHTF) of Miami are celebrating their 45th and 39th seasons, respectively, by presenting some of the best productions and companies from Latin America, Spain, and the United States in various locations in Miami-Dade County. Please join us as we once again raise the curtain on Hispanic culture.
Mission
• To preserve, further develop, and enhance our Hispanic cultural heritage through the creation and presentation of universal theatre and educational programs and to participate in the artistic growth and expansion of worldwide theatre by presenting an outstanding creative and educational program through Avante's annual award-winning International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami.
