Sunset Elementary School PTA

The Sunset Elementary PTA works to enhance the school for the benefit of students and teachers.  For example, campus improvements such as the outdoor field, landscaping maintenance and playground canopies are all supplied by the PTA.  Previously, your donations made it possible to refurbish our Media Center with brand new furniture, shelves, and paint among other things, as well as purchase new cafeteria tables!  This year, we are actively working to raise funds to revamp our outdoor spaces.  

Outdoor surfacing enhances our school by providing safe, durable, and attractive areas for play and learning. High-quality surfaces reduce the risk of injuries with shock-absorbent materials that cushion falls, promoting safer outdoor activities.  Also, vibrant and engaging designs stimulate creativity and encourage physical activity, fostering a more active and healthy lifestyle. Finally, well-designed outdoor areas support various educational activities, adding to the overall learning environment and community feel of the school.

The PTA provides funding for other school resources such as the school's Accelerated Reader program, it also supplies agendas to all students in grades 2 through 5, on-going landscaping and maintenance, and other capital improvements. The PTA funds the various appreciation days throughout the year, holiday and end of year treats for the students and teachers, as well as the activities and performers for Sunset's yearly World Fair Day.
