Sunset Elementary School PTA

The Sunset Elementary PTA works year-round to enhance our school for the benefit of our students and teachers.  Thanks to your support, we’ve made meaningful campus improvements—from maintaining our landscaping and adding playground canopies to transforming our Media Center with new furniture, shelving, and paint.  Your generosity has also helped us purchase new cafeteria tables and provide other essential school resources.

This year, we invite you to “Plant a Seed, Grow a Future” by supporting our efforts to revitalize Sunset’s outdoor spaces. Our goal is to create engaging, functional areas for learning and play—highlighted by the addition of a dedicated Outdoor Classroom.  This new space will offer students a hands-on, nature-based learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and connection to the world around them.  Additional outdoor enhancements will extend these benefits throughout the campus, giving students more opportunities to learn, explore, and thrive in fresh air and sunlight.

Beyond these initiatives, the PTA continues to fund important programs and resources such as the Accelerated Reader program, student agendas for grades 2–5, ongoing landscaping and maintenance, and various capital improvements.  We also support appreciation events, holiday and end-of-year treats, and the performers and activities that make Sunset’s annual World Fair Day so special.
