Stand Up FL is a youth-led nonprofit organization founded in Miami with a mission to teach empathy, respect, and kindness to children from an early age. Through bilingual coloring books, interactive plush characters, and fun storytelling, we help children learn how to prevent bullying and express their emotions in a healthy way.
Our programs reach students in preschools, elementary schools, and even children in hospitals across Miami-Dade. Each presentation includes free books and interactive activities that inspire children to treat others with compassion. Research shows that children who learn empathy early on develop stronger self-esteem, better communication skills, and are more likely to thrive socially and academically.
While we have passionate young leaders and supportive educators, we lack sufficient funds to expand our reach and provide more free materials to underserved schools and hospitals. Donations to Stand Up FL go directly toward printing and distributing bilingual coloring books, creating empathy workshops, and bringing our characters—Valentín the Bear and Valeria the Elephant—to life for children in the classroom.

Stand Up FL is on a mission to put empathy and positive social-emotional development at the heart of childhood.
