The South Florida National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) chapter is dedicated to serving, educating, and empowering communities in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. For nearly forty years, this regional chapter has united journalists, media professionals, and students who advocate for diversity and strive for excellence in the industry. Each year, we award scholarships to high school and college students pursuing a four-year degree in Journalism.

We are excited to take part in this year's Give Miami Day, where we reaffirm our commitment to inspiring the next generation of storytellers. Our programs and workshops aim to educate young people about journalism, ignite their passion for the field, and provide them with essential connections and resources as they explore future career paths.

NABJ South Florida is unwavering in its dedication to advocating for African American journalists, media professionals, and students in the Tri-County area. We stand firm in upholding the highest standards of journalistic excellence.

Networking Opportunities: NABJ South Florida hosts a variety of events, including networking mixers, panel discussions, and workshops, to bring journalists together. These gatherings provide a platform for members to build valuable connections, share experiences, and collaborate on projects.

Career Development: NABJ South Florida supports its members in advancing their careers through mentorship programs, skill-building workshops, annual college fairs, and access to industry leaders. The chapter is actively engaged in helping emerging journalists navigate the ever-changing media landscape.

Community Engagement is a core value at NABJ South Florida. We are committed to giving back to the community through various outreach initiatives and volunteer work with local organizations.

Our diverse membership includes print, broadcast, digital media, public relations, and communications professionals. This diversity enhances our chapter's offerings and strengthens our commitment to journalistic excellence. Whether you're an aspiring journalist, a seasoned professional, or simply passionate about journalism, NABJ South Florida welcomes your involvement and partnership. We value each member's unique perspectives and experiences, and we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive community for all.
