The Kid’s Marketplace is a one-day event where young entrepreneurs display their talents and develop business skills in a friendly environment. The impact of the project goes beyond:
• Education
Kids register through an educational and interactive platform that walks them through four basic business principles: Product, Price, Promotion and Place.
• Motivation
Registered participants benefit from real-life experiences in business from accomplished entrepreneurs.
• Hands on experience
Young entrepreneurs bring their product or service, interact with customers and showcase their talents like communication, cash management and creativity among others.
• Giving back
Participants give back to the community by donating 5% of their proceeds to a local non-profit.
The Kid’s Marketplace organized by Slingshot aims to motivate young entrepreneurs ages 8 to 16 to understand the value of their ideas and turn them into action.
