 Saving Families, Inc. was founded by Pastor Eric Robinson, whose personal journey inspires the organization's mission and commitment to strengthening families and communities. Raised by a single mother without the presence of a father or positive male role models, Pastor Robinson experienced many of the barriers and adverse circumstances faced by at-risk youth and underserved families. His life eventually led to incarceration, where he experienced a profound spiritual transformation while in the Miami-Dade County Jail. Motivated by a desire to transform personal adversity into community impact, he dedicated his life to serving vulnerable populations and helping others overcome barriers to stability and success. In addition to his lived experience, Pastor Robinson brings extensive professional experience in housing stabilization, homelessness services, behavioral health, substance use recovery, victim advocacy, and community-based support services. He served as Guest Service Supervisor at the Miami Rescue Mission from 2013 to 2020, where he worked directly with men, women, and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability. He later served as Spiritual Life & Wellness Coordinator at Chapman Partnership from 2021 to 2023, providing wellness programming, life-skills development, spiritual support, crisis intervention, and resource coordination for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Since 2021, Pastor Robinson has served as a Peer Victim Advocate with Thriving Mind South Florida, working within the Trauma Recovery Network serving Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. In this role, he provides advocacy, peer support, crisis assistance, and resource linkage to victims of crime and trauma, helping individuals and families navigate the recovery process and access behavioral health and community-based services. Pastor Robinson is a Certified Addiction Counselor, Behavioral Health Technician, and Certified Recovery Peer Specialist with extensive experience supporting individuals affected by substance use disorders, mental illness, homelessness, trauma, and incarceration. He also holds an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Miami Dade College, providing him with both academic knowledge and practical expertise in addressing the complex needs of vulnerable populations. Drawing from both professional expertise and lived experience, Pastor Robinson founded Saving Families, Inc. to address the interconnected challenges of homelessness, incarceration, victimization, substance use, mental health concerns, and family instability. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to delivering compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and community centered services that promote long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

Today, Saving Families, Inc. provides comprehensive support services to individuals and families throughout Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and the greater South Florida region. The organization addresses critical social determinants of health and stability through emergency housing assistance, reentry services for returning citizens, victim advocacy and support for crime victims, peer support, behavioral health and substance use recovery support, resource navigation, mentoring, family strengthening services, and community wellness initiatives.
