Our Hospital Buddy Program provides critical direct support that can improve healthcare outcomes for pediatric patients. Partnering with hospital staff at Holtz Children’s Hospital, we pair college students from the University of Miami and Florida International University with young patients to help alleviate the emotional effects of long-term hospitalization.

New this year, we have reconnected with Baptist Hospital/Miami Cancer Institute and will be re-launching our pediatric program there soon!

Our Senior Buddy Program fosters meaningful intergenerational connections by pairing college students with older adults in assisted living facilities and community centers. Through this program at Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon, we help reduce social isolation and loneliness, improving the overall well-being of the residents and the Miami community. 

New this year, we have also partnered with Miami Jewish Health Westchester PACE Center and Alper JCC to reach more older adults throughout South Florida.
