Our Hospital Buddy Program provides critical direct support that can improve healthcare outcomes for pediatric patients. Partnering with Holtz Children’s Hospital, Baptist Hospital, and Miami Cancer Institute, we pair college students from the University of Miami and Florida International University with young patients to help alleviate the emotional effects of long-term hospitalization.

Our Senior Buddy Program fosters meaningful intergenerational connections by pairing college students with older adults in assisted living facilities and community centers. 

Through this program at Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon,  we help reduce social isolation and loneliness, improving the overall well-being of the residents and the Miami community. 

New this year, we have started a chapter at Miami-Dade College. MDC students will join FIU and UM students in serving older adults at our newest partner sites— Grand Living at Coral Gables, Pinecrest Community Center, and Deedco Gardens in Homestead.
