Rise Up 4 Change, Inc.

"Rise Up 4 Change" is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization was founded by Angela and Frederick Thomas , seasoned law enforcement officers who retired from the force in 2013 to found Rise Up 4 Change. The Thomas's 45 collective years in the police force and juvenile corrections revealed to them repeatedly firsthand how often good young people can make a mistake that gets them into trouble and lands them irreversibly on the wrong side of the law. The Thomas's wanted to make a meaningful difference, so they created RU4C, a movement of people who come together to evoke positive change in the lives of the future generation.

RU4C is dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities to find solutions to the problems that are destroying the lives of our youth. RU4C works to help youth from all backgrounds with an emphasis on vulnerable youth such as those who are experiencing homelessness, living in poverty, foster care, or involved with the Juvenile Justice system change the course of their lives by providing them with life skills, support, social-emotional learning, job readiness and nurturing they need to reach their full potential.

Our clients includes: schools, parks, after-school programs, community organizations, correctional facilities

Our Results: Every workshop is based on a proven curriculum that has demonstrated positive results for youth in rigorous evaluation studies. RU4C now reaches nearly 225 students annually.
Youth who complete our programs consistently demonstrate improved life skills in standardized program and over 94% of students have improved artistically, academically, school attendance and in life skills - evidence of change taking place within our youth and their life paths.
