The North Dade Center for Modern Languages (CML) PTA is committed to supporting a community of learners who think globally, act compassionately, and pursue excellence in all they do. Pineapple by plant, we believe in nurturing not only academic growth but also the cultural and social development of each student.

Our School, Our Mission

• Located at 1840 NW 157th St, Miami Gardens, FL, North Dade CML is a distinguished magnet elementary school (K–5) in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. Miami-Dade County Public Schools

• CML offers rigorous language and international education programs, including French and Spanish International Education (IE) and International Studies (IS) tracks, with extended instructional time and culturally immersive instruction 

• The school was founded in 1989 as one of Miami-Dade’s first magnet language programs

• In recognition of its academic excellence, North Dade CML is a National Blue Ribbon School

Why the PTA Exists

While the school provides the foundation, the PTA carries forward the mission in these key ways:

• Bridging resources to student needs —  funding enrichment programs, field trips, classroom materials, and initiatives that the general budget cannot cover.

• Elevating community voices — ensuring parents, teachers, and administrators collaborate in planning, decision-making, and student support.

• Sustaining excellence — by supporting the unique demands of a language magnet program, we help maintain high standards and cultural breadth for every child.
