At Redland Elementary, we believe every child deserves opportunities to learn, grow, explore, and feel supported.

This year, Redland Elementary PTA is raising funds to invest in programs, resources, and experiences that support the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively.

🌈 Help Us Build a Sensory Room

One of our major fundraising goals is to help create a Sensory Room at Redland Elementary—a welcoming and thoughtfully designed space where students can take a moment to reset, regulate, and refocus during the school day.

For young children, a busy school environment can sometimes feel overwhelming. Noise, bright lights, transitions, classroom activity, and big emotions can make it difficult for some students to concentrate and participate in learning.

A sensory room can provide students with access to tools and a structured environment that may help them:

🧠 Practice self-regulation and coping skills
💛 Manage feelings of stress or being overwhelmed
🎯 Regain focus and prepare to return to learning
🧩 Address individual sensory needs
🌈 Feel supported and included within their school environment

Funds may help provide comfortable seating, sensory and tactile tools, calming lighting, noise-reducing headphones, movement equipment, visual supports, quiet-space materials, and other appropriate resources.

📚 Supporting Learning Beyond the Sensory Room

While creating a sensory room is an important goal, our fundraising efforts go beyond one project.

Funds raised will also help Redland Elementary PTA support PTA-approved educational programs, enrichment opportunities, student resources, and school-community initiatives throughout the year.

Your contribution can help support areas such as:

📚 Literacy & Reading Programs
Books, classroom and library resources, reading challenges, literacy nights, author or guest-reader experiences, reading incentives, and programs that encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading.

🔬 STEM & Hands-On Learning
Science, technology, engineering, and math activities; educational kits; experiments; and hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

🎨 Arts, Music & Creativity
Art materials, creative projects, cultural experiences, performances, and other opportunities that allow students to explore and express their creativity.

🌱 Outdoor & Experiential Learning
School garden projects, environmental education, outdoor learning materials, and other experiences that extend learning beyond the traditional classroom.

🏆 Student Achievement & Recognition
Programs and activities that recognize academic growth, effort, leadership, kindness, attendance, positive behavior, and other student accomplishments.

💛 Student Wellness & Belonging
Resources and programs that encourage kindness, confidence, positive relationships, healthy coping skills, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging.

🎉 Student Programs & Special Experiences
PTA-sponsored educational programs, school-spirit activities, celebrations, assemblies, and special experiences that make elementary school memorable.

👩‍🏫 Educational & Classroom Support
PTA-approved learning materials, supplies, and resources that enhance the educational environment and provide students with additional opportunities to succeed.

🤝 Family & Community Engagement
Family literacy nights, educational workshops, community events, and other programs that strengthen the partnership between families, educators, and our school community.
