Who is PRMES?

The Phyllis R Miller PTA serves Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary's a diverse community at our Title I public school, which offers both a Montessori program and a traditional public school system. Our PTA is a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and community members working together to enrich the educational experience of all students.

Through our fundraising, community events, and volunteer efforts, we provide resources that enhance classroom learning, support unique educational programs, and strengthen the school environment. One of our key initiatives this year is expanding access to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) education, giving students hands-on opportunities to explore, experiment, and innovate. By fostering curiosity and critical thinking, we aim to prepare our students with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

With an active PTA and strong community involvement, Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary works to create enriching educational experiences for all students. We are proud to nurture the next generation of leaders, innovators, and responsible global citizens.

Our Goal

This year, the Phyllis R. Miller Elementary PTA is excited to focus our Give Miami Day campaign on expanding STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) learning opportunities for every student in our school. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to bring a hands-on, schoolwide STEAM program that sparks curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. A portion of the funds raised will also support general PTA expenses that help us continue providing essential resources and programs for our students and teachers throughout the year.

With your support, we can provide our Title I school community with access to engaging, high-quality learning experiences that inspire a lifelong love of discovery. Together, we can empower the next generation of innovators right here at Phyllis R. Miller Elementary!

As Phyllis R. Miller PTA our mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children

For more than 100 years, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA®) has worked toward bettering the lives of every child with focus on social and educational programs that inspire an importance on family engagement in all schools and communities.

Continuing these traditions on a regional level, Phyllis R. Miller PTA wants to continue offering family engagement and educational opportunities focused on creativity and enrichment. To further these goals, we ask for your support in expanding our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) programming. A strong STEAM program is a powerful educational tool in any child-centered learning environment. Through hands-on projects and interactive learning, students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and think critically—building confidence, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. By investing in STEAM, we nurture curiosity, innovation, creativity and a lifelong love of learning that prepares our students for a bright future.
