20 Years. One Community. Endless Music.
Founded in 2006 by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, Orchestra Miami is celebrating 20 years of bringing exceptional classical music to audiences throughout South Florida. For two decades, Orchestra Miami has distinguished itself as one of Miami’s most innovative and community-focused professional performing ensembles, creating meaningful connections through the transformative power of music.
At the heart of Orchestra Miami’s mission is a simple belief: great music should be accessible to everyone. We connect communities, inspire curiosity, and educate through affordable, accessible, and exceptionally high-quality classical music experiences.
Our imaginative programming reaches audiences of all ages and backgrounds. From the beloved, free annual Beethoven on the Beach concert series to our annual free New Year’s Eve Celebration on Miami Beach, to the Pinecrest Gardens Family Fun series that introduces children and families to the performing arts, Orchestra Miami brings live orchestral music into vibrant community spaces across Miami-Dade County. Our Discover Miami Through Music concerts invite audiences to explore the fascinating connections between music, history, culture, and the diverse communities that make Miami unique.
Our commitment to education is equally profound. Through our Carnegie Hall Link Up program and other education initiatives, Orchestra Miami has introduced more than 36,000 Miami-Dade County Public School students to classical music—free of charge. Each year, our programs reach thousands more people, creating opportunities for children, families, longtime concertgoers, and first-time audiences to experience the joy and inspiration of live orchestral music.
Orchestra Miami’s artistry is powered by a select ensemble of professional musicians who are permanent residents of South Florida. Their collective depth of experience, musicianship, and dedication creates an extraordinary artistic force uniquely rooted in the community it serves.
Under the leadership of Founder and Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, Orchestra Miami has built a reputation for exceptional artistry, imaginative programming, and performances that bring classical music to unexpected and diverse venues throughout Miami-Dade County. By meeting audiences where they are—and inviting them into experiences that are both inspiring and accessible—Orchestra Miami continues to expand the reach of orchestral music in South Florida.
For 20 years, we’ve been making great music, building community, and opening doors to the arts.
