One America for Hope

One America for Hope is a Florida-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit training youth and women in Miami to lead change.

For over 15 years in Central America, we worked to strengthen democracy and transparency in challenging contexts. Through organized civil society, we empowered youth and women, led technical social audits of judicial selection and electoral processes, and helped draft accountability and anti-corruption legislation.

We learned that when institutions weaken, citizens must step forward — with courage, creativity, and peaceful organization. That commitment led us to contribute to the establishment of the MACCIH in Honduras — the OAS Mission Against Corruption and Impunity — supported by one of the largest civic movements in the country's history.

Why does this matter in Miami?

Because Miami is home to hundreds of thousands who understand what it costs when institutions weaken — and who came here believing in the strength of American democracy. Many families here, from different backgrounds and political views, share the same hope: that transparency, accountability, and civic participation keep democracy strong.

While we serve all of Greater Miami, our main areas of work are Hialeah, Little Havana, Doral, Brickell, Kendall, Sweetwater, Homestead, Florida City, and Allapattah.

Our Theory of Change was proven in difficult conditions: 

Hope is restored when citizens move from spectators to protagonists. When we train youth and women to document facts, organize constructively, and participate peacefully, we help spark institutional response. That response leads to reform. Reform builds trust. And trust is what helps democracy endure.

Today we bring that experience to Miami. We are nonpartisan, pro-democracy, and pro-transparency. We train youth to be guardians of American democracy — right here at home.
