For 50 years, Ocean Conservancy has been working to protect the ocean from today's greatest global challenges, creating science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it. We put resources, expertise and passion behind the work of solving some of the biggest environmental problems we face, including fisheries recovery, marine wildlife protection, ecosystem health and ocean-climate change. To ensure a healthier ocean, healthier economy, and healthier future for generations to come, we collaborate with partners from all walks of life - fishers, researchers, regulators, industry leaders, government decision-makers, conservation organizations and everyday citizens.
Ocean Conservancy is working on the ground in Florida to protect the state's ocean and coastal environment, ensuring our beaches remain clean and fisheries healthy. Florida's environment is at an all-hands-on-deck moment. The state's beaches, waterways and wildlife are precious natural riches that are the beating heart of Florida's tourism industry, Florida's economy, Florida's culture and the Florida way of life. Solving Florida's ocean and coastal environmental challenges won't be easy and will require us all to come together to create solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
Ocean Conservancy's goal is for Florida to become a model for innovative and effective marine conservation. Our state work is currently focused on the top three ocean and coastal threats including: plastic pollution, climate change, and water quality.
Ocean Conservancy is working with you to protect the ocean from today's greatest global challenges. Together, we create evidence-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
