Addiction doesn’t discriminate. It affects people of all ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds and for many, the journey toward recovery remains out of reach due to financial barriers. At the InService Foundation, we believe that every person deserves access to quality treatment, regardless of their financial means.
We provide critical funding to cover the cost of care for individuals struggling with substance use disorder (SUD), helping them access detox, residential treatment, therapy, sober living, recovery coaching, and case management support. By meeting people where they are, we are able to curate care that fully supports the needs of the individual. Additionally, we remove the financial burden that too often prevents someone from taking their first steps toward healing.
Our mission is simple but urgent: to fund treatment for individuals with addiction who are ready for change but lack the resources to get help.
Our Story
The InService Foundation was born out of a deeply personal calling by founders Natasha Silver Bell, Philippe Grinstein, and Aaron Gershenson, individuals with both personal and professional experiences with substance use disorder. They saw firsthand how life changing treatment can be, and how devastating it is when people are ready to heal but are turned away because they cannot afford the cost, or are unable to access the care that would be most beneficial.
Since our founding, we've supported a total of 32 beneficiaries, 21 individuals currently in treatment and 11 people who have successfully completed from our support, with an average of one year of care. Many of our beneficiaries were facing homelessness, unemployment, and lacked the support of family, until InService stepped in to fund their path to recovery.
The Need is Urgent
Substance use disorder is one of the most pressing public health crises of our time:
Over 40 million people in the United States are living with addiction, yet only a small fraction receive care.
The cost of treatment—which can range from $5,000 to $50,000+ for detox, residential treatment, and sober living—puts it far out of reach for many.
Addiction is both treatable and chronic—but only when individuals can access long-term, coordinated care that meets their unique needs.
Without support, individuals with substance use disorders often cycle through emergency rooms, jails, and temporary interventions that address symptoms but not root causes. This pattern not only drains our healthcare and criminal justice systems, but destroys lives, families, and communities.
Join Us
The path to healing shouldn’t depend on your bank account. When you give to the InService Foundation, you are walking alongside someone who is ready to do the hard work of recovery but just needs a door to open.
We invite you to be that door.
Let’s break the cycle of addiction by providing real, sustained access to care.
Inservice Foundation endeavors to bring customized substance-use disorder recovery care to individuals and families for whom the traditionally high cost of concierge-level recovery solutions has been prohibitive.
