About NHSA
The National Haitian Student Association, Inc. (NHSA) is a non-profit organization established in 1998 to serve as the national umbrella for all Haitian student groups, students of Haitian descent, and affiliated clubs at all forms of higher learning institutions in the US and Canada.
To accomplish our mission, we have established an mPack initiative with 8 different categories and 38 key programs and events that are tailored to support students of Haitian descent and the Haitian Student Groups throughout the US and Canada.
Organization History
Since 1998, the organization has become a platform that challenges students to explore their full potential as leaders within their surrounding communities. Moreover, NHSA strives to bring together students, professionals, and community leaders in dialogue that will identify, and address issues confronting Haitian students and celebrate Haiti’s dynamic culture. Throughout the years, the organization continues to provide educational/leadership opportunities for students of Haitian descent through scholarships, project involvement, training, and workshops.
Our mission is to create a better path for Students of Haitian descent and to provide quality leadership, professionalism, and strong values for future generations.
