Mystic Force Foundation

For the past 17 years, the Mystic Force Foundation has been a vital support system for families facing childhood cancer—providing meaningful programs, special events, and both financial and emotional assistance.

Our Directors travel annually to Washington, D.C., advocating for increased federal funding and the passing of new laws and bills to advance Childhood Cancer research and support. (Each pay their own way saving Foundation funds for critically needed programs)

Twelve years ago, the Foundation created Family Fun Nights on the oncology floor at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital—a monthly themed celebration bringing toys, crafts, music, love, and laughter to children in treatment. What began as one night a month has now inspired weekly events hosted by other organizations, with Mystic Force continuing our own celebration on the 4th Monday of every month.

The Foundation also grants Dream Wishes to children who have already received a Make-A-Wish but continue to endure years of treatment—offering them a chance to escape and create joyful memories beyond their illness.

Children battling cancer often spend weeks or even months at a time in the hospital. When they are not inpatient, their fragile immune systems mean they must avoid public places like toy stores and playgrounds. Seven years ago, we opened the Heroes Hangout, a one-of-a-kind Childhood Cancer Haven—the only one in South Florida—where children battling cancer can safely play, celebrate, and experience the joys of childhood without fear of germs or hospital stress. The Heroes Hangout is 100% community supported and completely free for families, providing a magical space filled with hope, love, and laughter.

Throughout the year, Mystic Force Foundation also hosts Blood Drives to meet the ongoing need for blood transfusions for pediatric patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.

We proudly raise awareness through numerous events, including organizing the two largest Gold Ribbon Parades in the world, in partnership with dedicated law enforcement agencies, to honor and support our brave Childhood Cancer warriors and honor our Angels.

Many of the families we serve experience financial strain, emotional distress, and social isolation due to the challenges of Childhood Cancer. Our mission is not only to bring a sense of safety, joy and hope to the children, but to also alleviate these burdens through our Emergency Financial Support Program.

At Mystic Force Foundation, we believe collaboration is key. By partnering with other nonprofits, community organizations, and local businesses, we work together to enhance the lives of children battling cancer and bring them the joy, comfort, and hope they so deeply deserve.

We are thrilled to share that our new - larger Heroes Hangout has now opened in North Miami Beach serving children from all our South Florida hospitals! This exciting expansion allows us to host more families simultaneously, hold more events, offer new resources, and spread even more hope and happiness to the incredible children and families we serve. Your generosity can transform our new Hangout into a sanctuary filled with hope, laughter, and love.
