For three decades, MOCA North Miami has stood at the forefront of contemporary art as one of South Florida’s pioneering cultural institutions—recognized nationally and internationally for its cutting-edge curatorial vision and scholarship, and its longstanding commitment to FREE arts education and programming. MOCA has proudly championed under-explored artists at pivotal moments in their careers, often presenting their first museum exhibitions. As the single major cultural institution singularly serving a 25 mile radius, MOCA has long served as a vital access point to the arts—connecting residents to world-class exhibitions that are complemented with a robust schedule of free programs. Now, on the eve of our 30th anniversary, MOCA is poised to boldly define its future—deepening its roots in the community while expanding its reach on a national and international stage.
MOCA's exhibitions are contextualized through mission-driven education, community-building initiatives, and public programs. MOCA hosts education programs for all ages, including Sunday Stories (ages 1-5); Mini-Makers (ages 6-12); Summer Art Camp (ages 6-13); Teen Art Force (ages 13-17); MOCA at the Library (ages 11-17); and MOCA Makers (18+), and boasts delivering free arts education to thousands of children, teens and adults since 1996. MOCA's beloved Jazz and MOCA concert series brings 300+ community members to MOCA Plaza on the final Friday of every month.
Please join us in celebrating our service to South Florida residents and beyond with a contribution that will keep our work going strong!
