Welcome to The Mighty Orchestra Booster, or "The MOB" as we like to call ourselves! As dedicated supporters of the Arthur & Polly Mays Conservatory of the Arts (APMCOTA) Orchestra program, The MOB is a community of parents, alumni, and music enthusiasts working together, honoring the vision of the school’s founders, Arthur and Polly Mays, to ensure our kids have opportunities through access to education.

APMCOTA’s Orchestra program is the largest dedicated music magnet south of Palmetto Bay and serves students from Kendall to Florida City. Many of our students do not own their own instruments or have affordable access to a dedicated private instructor. These students, some learning their instruments upon entering the program and others born into musical families, had to audition to join and are required to maintain a good academic record to remain in orchestra. 

We were very proud of the orchestra achieving a superior rating at the county level in 2023-24. This rating qualified for them to perform in a state assessment but there simply wasn’t enough funding and volunteers available to allow them to travel and perform.
