Miami SCORES— the newest branch of North America's largest soccer and literacy youth development nonprofit, America SCORES— provides free after-school and summer programming in soccer, poetry, and service learning for Miami's Title I public school students. Currently, we operate in 6 elementary schools across the Little Haiti and Liberty City areas, helping many kids living below the poverty line to improve academically, increase physical fitness, and have a greater sense of confidence and belonging.
With your support, we strive to have proper equipment, transportation, and coach stipends for our programs and organize student showcases and fundraising events, such as Fall Frenzy, Community Poetry SLAM, Jamboree, SCORES Cup, and the Miami SCORES Marathon Team.
Any and every donation matters:
- $25 provides a young poet-athlete with socks and shin guards for soccer programming
- $50 provides supplies for a full year of soccer and writing for a poet-athlete to experience the joys of sports, arts, service, and being part of a team
- $100 provides support for a student's annual transportation to Friday Game Days, which is essential to Miami SCORES programming throughout the year in order to help eliminate barriers to play
Miami SCORES is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. We wouldn't be able to operate without the support of individuals like you!
