MDC's Miami Film Festival

A nonprofit organization

This Give Miami Day (November 17-21, 2024) – Donate to the Miami Film Festival!

Miami Film Festival is a world-class platform for presenting International and Ibero-American films. Celebrating its 42nd edition from April 4 - 13, 2025, the Festival showcases the work of the world's best emerging and established filmmakers to the diverse cosmopolitan community of Miami. Cash awards totaling almost $50,000 are given in competition categories.

In 2024, and leading into 2025, MFF is laser-focused on rebuilding audiences into cinemas. We're working hard to bring MFF to more neighborhoods across the city, in an effort to make our screenings more accessible to all. We've launched initiatives, including The Louies, to support local filmmakers and serve as a resource for film funding. As a branch of Miami Dade College's Cultural Affairs Department, MFF aims to continue to offer our inspiring work with students and faculty free of cost.

Our mission is to serve the city of Miami with the power of cinema. Movies are more than just stories, they are experiences that can shape the way we think and connect with one another. With guests like film directors and stars traveling from all over the world - MFF is an opportunity to learn from the folks who make movies happen. Aside from sheer entertainment, watching a film or attending a talk, a MFF provides valuable insight to those who seek it.
