At The Mavuno Project, we believe that every child deserves freedom and a future filled with hope. As a faith based organization we stand on the principles of Galatians 6:9 " Let us not grow weary in doing good for at the proper time we shall reap a Harvest (Mavuno-Swahili) if we don't give up"

 Our mission: To prevent human trafficking with the power of education and a message of HOPE globally.

Our vision: A world where every child and family has the opportunity to live a life of freedom and find HOPE for tomorrow.

               

Our “Safe Schools, Safe Kids, Safe Communities,” program now recognized by Miami-Dade and Broward County Schools addresses the crisis. Together with supporters like you, we’ve reached over 4,000 children this year, delivering life-saving education and resources. But there is so much more to be done!

With over 400,000 students in Miami and Broward Counties, your renewed support will help us reach thousands more. We are on a mission to secure $150,000 by 2026, ensuring every student has access to critical prevention resources.

Our community outreach events promote safe communities by bringing the message of awareness and hope to children and families with most needs. 

• Kids United: A focused back-to-school event offering free school supplies, food resources, wellness services, and more. This event is designed to build resilience and raise awareness around human trafficking in one of our most vulnerable populations: children. Through interactive workshops for ages 8–15, a community resource fair, and compassionate support, we’re equipping families with tools to stay safe, informed, and empowered. Watch recap video here
• Teachers United: A gathering for dedicated educators for a powerful and uplifting event centered around appreciation, connection, and advocacy. Each teacher receives free brunch and a tote bag filled with teacher supplies.  See press release and recap video here
