Incubate Debate

A nonprofit organization

Incubate Debate is unlike any other debate league in America: our tournaments are always free, middle and high school students compete alongside each other, and students are judged by “citizen judge panels” which comprise elected officials, members of the judiciary, civil servants, college professors, first responders, members of the armed forces, and faith-based leaders. We believe in building confident, articulate speakers, who can handle any subject with poise.

Our unique approach nurtures a diverse community of thinkers, introduces students to real-world perspectives, and fosters a deeper understanding of the issues at hand. With topics varying from constitutional law to universal basic income, students learn both the art of argumentation and the relevance of current events. At Incubate Debate, students don’t compete against one another. They compete with, learn from, and inspire one another.

Mission

Our mission is to promote intellectual growth, encourage respectful dialogue, and build bridges between contrasting viewpoints by hosting no-cost debate tournaments for middle and high school students. We value free speech, merit, civility, diversity of thought, dignity across differences, and, above all else, the pursuit of truth.

We empower students to become powerful public speakers, critical thinkers, and strong leaders through the power of free speech and open debate.
