All of this is housed at our Home in the heart of little Haiti, the MUCE Campus. We transformed a mechanic shop into a community art space and as a result we have hosted every life cycle event at our venue (from wakes, to baby showers, to bridal showers, and weddings!) We have hosted poets, and traveling universities who want to learn more about our neighborhood. Artist have grown up right here in our space into professional mainstays in the South Florida Community. We have laughed with comedians, and danced with drum circles. We have been a space for activist to come and think tank ideas and strategies to push progress forward. We built something special with Two leaders and a team of volunteers and are grateful to be a rooted in the arts community of South Florida.
With a volunteer staff, we have run our programs for the past 6 years. It is now time for growth. MUCE EDUCATES is working to raise money for full time staff and program managers to take the vision to the next level.
