Since its founding in 2008, Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation has been dedicated to supporting Miami-Dade County Public School students by funding critical, educational, and innovative programs that would otherwise go unfunded.
The Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ budget cannot fund all the needs of our students. By empowering teachers, administrators, alumni, and public-school employees to identify these needs, the M-DCPS Foundation raises funds to support pathways to academic excellence.
From innovative educational initiatives and technology for STEAM/STEM labs to special programs for our most vulnerable, M-DCPS Foundation provides the funding that helps our students achieve the best outcomes.
This Give Miami Day, we will be raising funds for the following programs:
- STEAM Labs in K-12 schools to inspire students through hands-on exploration and learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
- Mini-grants for schools for the implementation of innovative and effective educational activities that foster greater academic achievement.
- Student scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from traditional M-DCPS high schools for post-secondary undergraduate education.
- Cultural Passport that provides K-12 students with a grade-appropriate cultural experience at one of the many cultural institutes in Miami-Dade County.
