LA6 whole heartedly believes that not everyone was born to be a doctor, lawyer, or CPA. As much as those professions are needed, equally as needed are other trades that provide goods and services to our community. This includes many vocations, from nursing to mechanics, electricians to plumbers... and everything in between. Miami-Dade County Vocational/technical programs do not provide grants or scholarships to individuals that do not have a high school degree, or equivalent. Unfortunately, this leaves out many individuals with an unbelievable passion and talent for these trades, and with so much to offer to our community. We are also partnering up with Citrus Family Care Network to give kids aging-out of the foster system an opportunity to our services. Giving these individuals and opportunity to have a degree, not only takes stress away from our local and state resources, but gives these individuals an opportunity to achieve the American dream!

Giving Activity

Mission

Lucas Alvarez LA6 Foundation provides academic scholarships and funding for underprivileged individuals to achieve their dreams by attending vocational/technical schools, all the while honoring Lucas Alvarez and his passion for mechanics.

We believe that everyone has a God-given talent. Our foundation gives individuals an opportunity to explore and capitalize on those talents, and paves the way for a future filled with hope and success.

We are also partnering up with Citrus Family Care Network to give kids aging-out of the foster system an opportunity to our academic scholarships.
