About Us
For over 34 years, the LIFT Center has provided services and support to thousands of active seniors in Kendall and nearby areas of Miami-Dade County. The LIFT Center is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers and dedicated to providing seniors with a full calendar of enriching activities and a gathering spot to meet and make friends. Many members describe the Center as a place of joy that gives them purpose - in short, the Center provides a "lifeline". The Pandemic has given the Center the time to reflect on our past and look ahead to the future to create a more dynamic and diverse organization.
Our immediate goal is to grow our membership to its pre-pandemic number and beyond. As of this year, we have had many returning members as well as new members. We believe we have a unique opportunity to rebuild and grow our organization by addressing the issues of health, well-being, and social isolation highlighted by COVID-19. Our ultimate goal is to build a financially secure, sustainable organization that serves our community with new programs and ideas.

Mission
The mission of the Senior L.I.F.T. Center, Inc. (Living, Involvement, Fulfillment, Togetherness) is a totally volunteer organization dedicated to providing active seniors (50 and older) of all economic, ethnic and social backgrounds in the Miami area with educational, recreational, cultural and social activities. We provide a place to meet new lifelong friends and greet new ones everyday. Our Center not only has a mission to help seniors, but also to embrace the quality of life for our community as well. Our members volunteer at hospitals and other organizations.
