Established in 1952, the Key Biscayne Woman’s club is a non-profit organization dedicated to community service, education and philanthropy. The Club’s founding purpose was to bring women together for purposeful fundraising activities to benefit the community. Since its inception the club has awarded scholarships to more than 180 recipients and has been a vital part of the island’s charitable land landscape.
The core mission of the Key Biscayne Woman’s club is to support the Key Biscayne community through two primary avenues:
Scholarships: The Club provides college scholarships to high school students who reside on or whose parents are employed full-time on the island.
Charitable grants: The organization also provides funding to other Key Biscayne charitable organizations to support their projects and causes.
This year marks a significant milestone for our organization as we celebrate our 75th anniversary. As the oldest nonprofit on Key Biscayne, Key Biscayne Woman’s has been a cornerstone of the community since our founding in 1952. The creation of this Scholarship Endowment Fund is a keystone initiative of our 75th anniversary celebration, designed to build upon our legacy of service and formalize our commitment to education by providing scholarships to students.
