$5,000 Goal

In March of 2022, we opened our first Pop-Up Museum and have had approximately 350 visitors. We are in the process of archiving everything we have in the museum and our storage area onto a software data base, with photos, time, and description of each item.

Our hopes are to have this available to the public in our new library when it opens. In March of 2023 we invited Ron Magill, the Communications Director at the Miami Zoo to present a lecture and slide show from when he worked at the Crandon Zoo back in the 70's. We continue to video residents and historians to add to our archives.

Mission

KBHHS is dedicated to collect, preserve, store and display all items of historical significance to Key Biscayne and its surroundings. We have a commitment to the island and its residents to educate them on our rich history and to reach out to present and past pioneer residents for interviews and/or memorabilia that they may like to share with us.
