Until JEMS Academy opened its doors, families of children with special needs in our community had no choice but to send their child to public school. Jewish schools couldn't provide the therapies and individualized care their children required. That meant parents were forced to send their children to public schools and sacrifice their child’s Jewish education and daily connection to Torah and community.
JEMS changes that reality. We are the only Jewish day school serving Miami-Dade & Broward, built specifically for children with developmental and learning challenges. Here, students receive the specialized therapies and supports they need while learning in a Jewish environment, davening each morning, celebrating holidays, and experiencing the joy of being part of of the Jewish people.
To provide individualized Jewish education in a therapeutic environment to children with special needs, ensuring they can each achieve the highest degree of knowledge, Jewish practice, self-esteem, and independence possible.
