Marianela, the founder of It Takes A Village Rescue Mission of South Florida, is renowned for her sensitivity and dedication to the community of abandoned and at-risk pets. Marianela's journey began years ago when she noticed the increasing number of abandoned pets in her neighborhood. With a heart full of compassion and a home open to those in need, she began rescuing these animals, providing them with shelter, food, and most importantly, love. Her home became a sanctuary where abandoned animals could find a temporary refuge, a place to heal and hope for a better future. In the last few years, the rising number of animals in need highlights a significant gap in the community’s resources. Realizing that her efforts alone were not enough to address this growing crisis, Marianela decided to expand her mission and create a nonprofit organization. Thus, It Takes A Village Rescue Mission of South Florida was born. At the heart of our mission is the belief that every animal deserves a chance at a happy and healthy life.
