About Us
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) opened its locally-funded office in Miami, FL in 1960 in response to the Cuban Revolution and, over the decades, has served more than 25,000+ refugees, asylees, survivors of human trafficking, unaccompanied children, and other vulnerable populations in South Florida. Today, the IRC in Miami creates opportunities for survivors of human trafficking, immigrant youth, their families, and unaccompanied minors to integrate and thrive in South Florida communities, including Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties. A committed staff of over 20+ professionals works together with community volunteers to assist these individuals and families in rebuilding their lives. The IRC in Miami offers case management services encompassing a broad range of programs to help these underserved communities achieve economic and social self-sufficiency.
