Serving the community for over 40 years, Homestead Soup Kitchen, a non-profit run solely by volunteers, provides a free lunch every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from noon until 1 p.m. We serve everyone--no questions asked--who arrives at our little orange building during our serving hours.

As you can see below, since 2020, a number of factors (i.e., global pandemic, economic uncertainty, population increase) have led to a substantial increase in the number of meals HSK serves:
2019 = 15,017 meals
2020 = 23,351
2021 = 36,788
2022 = 32,444
2023 = 41,141
2024 = 48,492
Despite the growing numbers and challenges HSK faces, our plucky group of volunteers continues to rise to the challenge by giving it their all, whether that is meal planning, cooking, washing dishes, mopping floors, cutting grass, hosting other organization give-aways and events, donating their own money, and a slew of other unseen tasks that keep HSK up and running.
Under the best circumstances, fulfilling our mission of feeding the hungry is an expensive undertaking, but it is more so now as we serve more people and the cost of food and other essential expenses have risen.
This is where your generosity can help us continue with our important community work. We share a similar passion--serving the local community--and together we can continue to provide a much-needed service to our residents.
