Our students see you – our community – as neighbors, family, mentors, and the heart and soul of our support system. Your gift this Give Miami Day strengthens the vital connection between Jewish Panthers at FIU and our Greater Miami Jewish community, through:

+ Staff: Our staff at Hillel serves as a key resource for students, connecting them with leadership opportunities, guiding them into adulthood, educating them about Israel, and giving them the courage to stand up to antisemitism by being proud Jews.

+ Local Leaders: From our Women's Empowerment Shabbaton to the top speakers we bring to our two Hillel spaces, and even our spring break Jewish-learning-at-sea cruise where we meet local religious leaders, Jewish Miami ushers the next generation into creating a stronger community.

+ FIU Faculty and Staff: Hillel at FIU founded the FIU Jewish Faculty and Staff Association, which now has 65+ members, brings Israel and Holocaust education programming into the classroom (and even a Jewish Events class in the Hospitality School), and creates a safe Jewish environment on campus, where faculty even helps us build our Sukkah.

+ Parents and Community Members: From our Friends and Family Shabbat to our Rosh Hahaha comedy night, Community Seder, and more, Hillel at FIU brings together parents, community members, faculty, staff, and students like no other program in the country.

Mission

The Hillel at Florida International University offers innovative programming that enriches the lives and educates students at the fourth largest university in the country. Through Jewish education, holiday celebrations, trips to Israel, shabbat dinners, community programs and some of the best speakers in the country, Hillel at FIU offers students an experience they won't find anywhere else on campus. We enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they can in turn enrich the Jewish community in Miami and around the world. By taking the lead on all programming, students gain leadership skills that carry them into their post-college lives, and by sharing these experiences with their fellow students, they gain friendships that will last a lifetime.
