The Greater Miami and South Florida Youth and Community Inc.(GMSFYC), was founded in 2013, designed to built community relations and as a crime prevention strategy for youth in the City of Miami, to prevent idleness and possible negative activities through bad influences. Though our Miami Youth Hurricanes (MYH), academics and sports programming, all during evening hours, with law enforcement officers, local community and business leaders, youth are giving opportunities to be in safe and learning environment. The youth are exposed to arts, cultural and athletics activities under the supervisions of caring volunteers.
The Mission of the Greater Miami and South Florida Youth and Community Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is to provide a safe, healthy and positive environment to the youth and community of Greater Miami and South Florida, through academics, arts and athletics programming. This will allow youth to develop academically, socially, mentally and physically, under the supervision of caring volunteers. Theses goals are reached through positive interactions, mentoring, and character building.
