Girl Power Rocks Inc.

Girl Power Rocks takes the needs and desires of every girl seriously so that we can provide programs and activities that create healthy, smart, strong and active girls. Girl Power's programs are developed to empower young girls to get more out of life. Girl Power encourages young girls to build confidence, competence, and pride within themselves. We also provide workshops and materials that inform girls about the risks and consequences associated with substance abuse, low self-esteem, lack of education and more.

GIRLS ROCK AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Offered in select MDCPS for 3 days per week after school. Activities include dance, music, art, theatre, math & science tutoring, journal writing, sports, life skills, community service projects, field trips, college tours, etiquette and Parent Support Groups.

GIRLS INTERVENTION PROGRAM
Serves girls age 17 and under who have been arrested for non-violent offenses and are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice. Girls participate in an 8-week educational intervention program including work readiness, life skills training, character development & citizenship, health & wellness, individual & group counseling including treatment plans and parent/guardian workshops.

SISTER CIRCLE MENTORING PROGRAM
Female mentors provide each young girl with support, counsel, friendship, reinforcement and constructive example. For 1 year, mentors are committed to spending four hours per month with their mentee to serve as a role model to enhance knowledge and self-awareness on such issues as self-esteem, self-image, relationship building, career choices and much more.

GIRLS' CHOIR OF MIAMI (GCOM)
Dedicated to producing professional-quality performances while instilling leadership, self-esteem, confidence and discipline. GCOM is made up of girls, ages 7 to 17 from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. The repertoire is carefully selected to selected to challenge girls and expose them to new genres.
