FUNDING ARTS NETWORK (FAN) is a non-profit, 501 (C) (3), founded in 1996 as "fifty over fifty, inc.," to provide support for the arts in Miami-Dade and to educate women on the collective power of philanthropy. By 2022, FAN had grown to over 250 members and to date has provided more than $6.1 million in grants to 115 arts organizations for over 700 programs.
Miami's cultural scene has grown incredibly over the last two decades. FAN has played an important role in developing a vibrant arts community, which adds immeasurably to the quality of life in Miami. FAN supports the arts through carefully vetted grants to quality dance, music, theater and visual arts programs. In 2022, FAN awarded an additional $200,000 in AWARE (Artistic Works Addressing and Rethinking Equity) Grants to advance performing and/or visual art work that explores or reflects issues of equity.
FAN also provides a social network to promote the arts through group visits to performances and exhibitions, educational programs/series about the arts by guest presenters, and programs to encourage philanthropy, all to enhance the involvement, appreciation, and awareness of the arts and diversity in our community.
