Today, Haiti faces one of the most severe education crises in its history. More than 1,000 schools have closed due to violence and insecurity, leaving over 450,000 children without access to education. Families fleeing gang-controlled areas are seeking safety in the north and south of the country, struggling to provide their children with even the most basic learning opportunities.

At Flying High 4 Haiti (FH4H), we are not letting these circumstances define the future of Haiti’s children. For the past decade, we have worked tirelessly to bring education, hope, and resilience to the island of Île-à-Vache, located off Haiti’s southern coast.

At Flying High 4 Haiti, we believe that education is not only a fundamental right—it is the cornerstone of sustainable development. By investing in quality education today, we are laying the foundation for a stronger, more inclusive tomorrow.

On Ile-à-Vache, where economic opportunities are limited, education offers one of the few viable paths to a better future. It ensures that local children are not left behind and empowers them to contribute meaningfully to the progress of their communities.

But education is more than access to classrooms. We believe it should inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a sense of purpose. Haiti’s long-term challenges require a new generation of leaders and problem-solvers—young people equipped not just with knowledge, but with the confidence and vision to drive positive change.
