This Give Miami Day, Florida Grand Opera (FGO) invites you to celebrate the spirit of community, creativity, and compassion by helping us deepen our roots in South Florida. For more than eight decades, FGO has stood as a cultural beacon “for Miami, by Miami,” uniting artistry with access, innovation with inclusion, and performance with purpose. Opera at FGO is more than an evening of entertainment—it’s a story of human connection and transformation, reflected in our mission to nurture talent, expand access, and celebrate the diverse voices of our region.

Your gift on Give Miami Day directly fuels impact across FGO’s five pillars—Education & Youth Engagement, Community Access, Artist Development, Artistic Innovation, and Wellness & Resilience. Last year, FGO reached over 25,000 students—many from Title I schools—with immersive, curriculum-aligned programs. Through “Voices of Wellness” and “Voices of Resilience,” we brought music to hospitals, first-responder stations, and veterans’ organizations, using opera as a source of healing and hope. Each production employs and uplifts South Florida artists, designers, and technicians, ensuring that world-class artistry thrives in our own backyard.
