Florida Film Institute

A nonprofit organization

In production for over 29 years, FFI's Cinematographers in Education and Media Arts (CINEMA) enriches the educational experience for young adults by providing a hands-on learning experience that teaches the art, business and science of filmmaking.

FFI works with selected students countywide with the encouragement to spark an interest in the field of Media Arts. High school teens have an opportunity to explore the creative process of cinema and television through a detailed sequence of activities which culminate in the production of their own short film projects. Synonymous with arts appreciation, self-esteem enhancement and increased job knowledge/skills, FFI is a highly innovative program proven to positively influence the development of the local, creative youth.
