Florida Association for Infant Mental Health

A nonprofit organization

Your generous donation this Give Miami Day helps FAIMH strengthen and support the professionals who care for infants, young children, and families every single day.

Our mission is to ensure that every professional who touches a child’s life—from childcare teachers and early intervention specialists to therapists and program administrators—has the knowledge and support to practice through an infant mental health lens. That means building relationships, reflecting on practice, and nurturing the healthy emotional development that sets children on a path for lifelong success.

Miami is home to FAIMH’s operations base and our most active Chapter, serving hundreds of professionals dedicated to helping our community’s youngest children thrive.

When you give to FAIMH, you’re investing in our future—empowering those who nurture the relationships that help babies, families, and professionals grow together.

Your gift today means more babies are supported, more families strengthened, and a brighter future for Florida’s youngest residents.

Mission

FAIMH's vision is a world where all children are emotionally healthy, equipped to learn, and nurtured to develop their full potential.

Our Mission is to strengthen the workforce to promote nurturing relationships for Florida’s babies before birth and beyond. We fulfill our mission by supporting our local community champions in the critical work they do supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of children and families, as well as provide education and training through our Training Academy, and professional recognition with the Florida Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement®.

As a professional community, we support everyone who works with children--from child care providers to mental health therapists--to better understand the importance of early relationships to healthy brain development and lifelong physical and mental health.
