Depression and anxiety are the most common medical problems worldwide, both illnesses affect people from all walks of life, and both could be treated and even prevented with an increase in awareness and advocacy. Studies have shown that people with mental illness die younger than those who do not have a mental health disorder, they go to prison more often, and have higher rates of drug use.
The DRT Brain Love Foundation is deeply committed to creating real change in the way mental and behavioral health is addressed—especially in communities that have historically been overlooked or underserved. Our mission goes beyond simply treating symptoms. We believe in a culturally sensitive approach that honors the unique experiences, traditions, and values of the people we serve.
