Dionysus in Miami was created with a simple idea: to bring Brazilian theater to Miami and create a real exchange between artists and audiences from Brazil and the United States.
Miami is home to a large Brazilian community, but Brazilian theater still has very little space here. We want to change that.
Our main project is the International Brazilian Theater Festival – Miami, where we bring productions and artists from Brazil to perform alongside local artists. But our work doesn't stop at the theater. We also bring artists into schools and universities for workshops, conversations, and encounters with students.
We want Brazilian audiences to have the experience of seeing their language, culture, and stories on a Miami stage. And we want people who have never experienced Brazilian theater to discover it.
This Give Miami Day, we hope to raise $10,000.
The money will help us bring artists to Miami, produce performances, offer educational programs, provide translations for our multilingual audiences, and keep tickets and activities accessible.
We are still a young organization, and every donation makes a real difference. It allows us to do a little more, reach a few more people, and continue building something we believe Miami should have:
