About Us:
The Dennis Project (TDP) was formed to enrich, empower, and engage underserved youth through accessible, high-quality science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs in the communities where they live, learn, and play. We envision a future where every young person has a voice in STEM innovation.

TDP honors the life and legacy of founder Auntaria Johnson’s grandmother, Amelia Dennis. Despite significant challenges, Amelia raised five children, became a grandparent, earned her GED through night school and a bachelor’s degree in education at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, and became a Florida-certified teacher. She taught at schools in underserved communities in Miami-Dade County and emphasized the importance of education until her passing in 1994.
For Families: Our hands-on STEM experiences bring families together to explore, build confidence, reduce anxiety, and support children's academic success.
At school: Young innovators build critical-thinking and problem-solving skills while gaining confidence in math and science.
For the Community: Our programs teach young innovators how to use STEM to address today’s and tomorrow’s complex challenges and succeed in an evolving workforce.
