Crystal Academy: Celebrating 16 Years of Changing Lives

Founded by parents who understand the realities of autism and developmental differences, Crystal Academy is a specialized educational and therapeutic center dedicated to helping children of all abilities thrive. Through a holistic, individualized approach, we nurture communication, confidence, independence, and joy.

For 16 years, we have provided:

Community-based outings, life skills, and vocational training
Speech, music, art, sensory integration, and behavior interventions
Assistive technology and social skills development
Academic instruction in language arts, science, and math
Individual ABA, speech, OT, and music therapy during and after school

We are proud to collaborate with UM-NSU CARD, University of St. Augustine, FIU, and other institutions to advance best practices and high-quality care.

Our students are also active changemakers. They helped design the first Autism Acceptance Flag raised in Coral Gables, inspired the Coral Gables Police Department’s Autism Patrol Car, and participate annually in the Autism Caravan that brings awareness and unity across our community.

A Critical Moment for Crystal Academy

This year’s Give Miami Day arrives during a pivotal moment for our school. Due to the redevelopment of our current property, Crystal Academy must relocate in the coming years.

To ensure continuity without disruption to our children’s progress, we must secure a temporary home and adapt it to the specialized needs of our students.

Provide scholarships for families accessing life-changing education and therapies
Sustain our creative arts programs—music and theatre—that ignite communication and emotional growth
Expand pre-vocational training that builds confidence, responsibility, and pathways to independence

Mission

For 16 years, Crystal Academy has proudly served the Greater Miami area, providing the highest quality, evidence-based therapies and individualized interventions for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental delays. Our mission is to promote language and communication, education, independence, socialization, and inclusive opportunities, empowering each child to reach their fullest potential within a supportive and understanding community. The generosity of our community fuels this mission, enabling us to offer essential scholarships, creative arts programs, and prevocational training that change lives and open doors to new possibilities for every child.
