At Crafting Confidence, we're passionate about teaching people to cook. Cooking your own meals not only improves your nutrition and financial well-being but also puts you in control of the salt, sugar, and fat in your dishes, as well as save money instead of ordering take-out. Nothing says "I care about you," like cooking for yourself or other people!

In the past, cooking skills were often passed down through generations; kids learned how to cook from their mothers or their grandmothers. But in today's busy world, time is limited, and many women work full-time jobs, leaving little opportunity to teach their children. Additionally, life changes like divorce or the loss of a spouse can leave individuals with little cooking experience.

That's where we step in. We specialize in making cooking both fun and easy. Our live online classes allow us to answer questions and provide guidance in real-time, addressing concerns like "Why is my dough sticky?" or "Should I add more water?" and "How do I knead the dough?"

Most importantly, we make cooking fun, encouraging new students to want to cook more. They discover the joy of creating delicious meals for themselves and loved ones.

Mission

Crafting Confidence is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that offers classes in arts, crafts, cooking, and other skills for both children and adults. We create a positive learning environment and boost self-esteem by teaching students new and challenging projects.

We love teaching cooking skills, which promote healthier eating, and saves money. Our mission moving forward is to provide accessible cooking education online, especially to those who may not have learned these skills traditionally, or live alone for the first time, either early in their adulthood or after losing a spouse. We believe in the power of online classes to engage, inform, and reach people in the comfort of their homes and also use the technology to address the current loneliness epidemic.

We teach fun and easy cooking methods! We like to work with students live online, so we can answer questions or cooking challenges as they come up, such as: Why is my dough sticky? Should I add more water? How do I knead the dough? 

Most importantly, we make cooking fun, which encourages new students to want to cook more. They know that they can make something delicious for themselves and their loved ones. Nothing says “I care about you” like cooking for yourself or other people!

We are aware that “zoom fatigue” exists. However, we believe our online classes are engaging, fun and informative, and can reach people who prefer to take classes from home, whether they are home-bound, shy, lonely, or simply would like to learn how to cook using their own tools and appliances. We love answering questions live during classes and helping people learn how to cook or craft a new skill. It’s all about “crafting confidence!”
